So I’ve decided to let you in on what to expect from the wonderful world of interiors this year which will really complement a wide range of colour schemes I discussed in a recent blog on Crown trends for 2010.

 

This winter is all about putting colour back into your home. Jewel colours such as deep rich violets, emerald greens, deep ruby reds, bright pinks and royal blue are big this season and can easily update a neutral room in a stylish way.

Winter is also a time to feel warm and cosy and surround yourself in soft fabrics which will add a sense of luxuriousness to our homes. Bright prints and patterns are also a must have this season.

 

Floral and bold patterns will give a room a modern twist, while checks, tartans and stripes are also in fashion if you are feeling adventurous.

 

You can achieve a makeover look without breaking the bank by adding a splash of paint to a feature wall and by using trimmings on plain curtains and cushions.
