Different colour shades can make a room look larger or smaller, depending on the shade.  To make a room seem big and airy, opt for lighter shades of cream and off whites. For a warm and cozy feel, darker shades of orange, red or purple.
   
 
 
 
When painting an entire room always start from the top down.  Ceilings first, followed by walls and finally doors and skirting.
 
 
 
 
 
If you’re taking a break while painting there is no need to wash off your brushes.  Simply wrap a bag or some cling film around the brush and it will stay moist.
