A mural is a fantastic way to add interest and colour to a space. Our Talented Style Guides are fans of murals, but you don’t have to be a pro to get this fabulous feature. Whether you’re in the mood for something bold and bright or looking for something more neutral and natural, the great thing about murals is that you can make them your own. Our tips below will help you on your journey to painting the mural of your dreams.
We’ve long been fans of Sarah Murphy’s (@colourfulsaz) vibrant and colourful furniture designs, so it was an honour to get to partner with her for our recent promotion, where one lucky winner became the very lucky owner of one of Sarah’s gorgeous creations. For our Colourfulsaz x Crown Spring competition, Sarah recycled a vintage chest of drawers using a lovely combination of colours from our newly-launched MoodBoards range, which was created in association with House and Home Magazine. For this project, Sarah chose the shades On a Beach, Mustard Jar, and Golden Cream (all mixed in our Fast Flow Quick Dry Satin). The results were a unique and beautiful piece, a special addition to any home. We thought our readers would like to know more about Colourfulsaz, how she became interested in upcycling and some insight inside her processes. Read on the find out what she had to say!
Spring has sprung and, with Easter just around the corner, our Style Guide Bronagh decided to create a gorgeous pastel-hued Easter wreath that will make the perfect feature for your entryway, or anywhere within your home!
We always love seeing the gorgeous projects that our customers create using our range of products. We recently came across Shauna Morgan’s stunning living room mini makeover on Instagram, and wanted to get more information on Shauna’s process and inspiration. Shauna used the shade ‘Movement’ from our Elle Decoration range to create a tranquil and contemporary space that we’d be very happy to spend some time relaxing in. She expertly paired the dark blue wall colour with warm wood tones and gold accessories, which play beautifully off each other. As you may know, sunny yellows with strinking blues is one of our favourite colour combinations, and Shauna chose a stylish yellow ottoman that certainly pops. The addition of a patterned area rug that incorporates the surrounding colours makes for a flawless finish to the room. It is certainly a feast for our eyes! We asked Shauna some more questions about this fun and fabulous interior retreat. Read on to see what she had to say…
