Trends for

Autumn / Winter

It may feel like we've not had much of a Summer and Autumn is coming round way too fast, but let's not get caught up with gloomy thoughts about "the nights drawing in" or "feeling a nip in the air".

Instead, why not reflect on the upbeat, positives of Autumn and Winter?  How many of us will be looking forward to Halloween parties, or the feeling of crisp, clean air on our face when we're out walking the dog?  And what about the build up to the ultimate party season in December and January?  Let's face it, Autumn and Winter have plenty going for them and I don't know about you, but the thought of a cosy night in with a good movie or snuggled up in bed with a great book, as the wind whips the windows, is much more appealing than a crowded beach, melted ice cream and insect bites.

So, to get your home in shape, ready for those cosy nights in, the chaotic parties and the perfect family moments to come, here are our recommended trending colour schemes for Autumn / Winter 2015.

Faded Simplicity

These muted neutral tones fade and blend into each other to create a light, natural palette.  Add an element of texture with chalky matt  finishes combined with rough edges, fabrics and metallic for a tranquil retreat for an Autumn evening or a Winter weekend morning.

Stitch

An appreciation of old and new, layering weave, patchwork and texture together for inspiration for a thought provoking palette.  A rich, warm and inviting palette.

Retrospective

Echoes of Mid-Century modern design and architecture influence a very strong and effortless colour palette.  Elegant blues contrasted by rich mustard, balanced with soft grey, make this palette perfect for a vibrant socialising room or, with a quick change in lighting, to a sophisticated chilled out living room.
