Sparkle and shine with this New Year’s Eve décor

New Year’s Eve is one of the most glamorous occasions of the year. While you’re making plans for the big event, it’s important not to neglect your home— especially if you’re hosting an extra- special soirée. Welcome 2018 in the most stylish way possible by following these recommendations. Warning: these will really wow!

Create a sparkling centerpiece: When it comes to your table settings this New Year’s Eve, give diners something festive and fun to look at. Place silver baubles and beads in clear glass display bowls or scatter them throughout your candle arrangement for added flair.

Place tea lights throughout your home: To get that natural shine easily, just add tea lights. Tea lights and other candles will give your space a nice sparkle while creating a warm and welcoming ambiance. Display these in silver holders, glittered holders, or on top of mirrors for an amplified glow.

Make a fun and funky drinks table: Regardless of what you’ll be serving this coming holiday, chances are your friends and family will get thirsty! No party is complete without a designated drinks area, and New Year’s Eve is the perfect opportunity to get a little wild with décor. Line your table in tinsel, cover it with confetti and/or illuminate it with string lights! We also love the idea of painting it an appropriate colour, like the elegant Midnight Coal or the softer Smoky Mist. It’s simple and quick to paint your wooden objects, and doing so is a fabulous way to take something ordinary and turn it into something extraordinary! For that added wow factor, create and serve a festive “drink of the night” (and make sure it has something sparkling in it!).

Make the most of balloons: Balloons are classic party decorations, and have seem to become chic accessories for any special occasion in recent years. Getting number balloons that spell out “2018” or letter balloons saying “Happy New Years” always look great in a place of importance. We also love the idea of making a balloon “ceiling” for New Year’s Eve. If you want a modest alternative, just tie bunches of inflated balloons around your home, and ensure they’re in colours such as silver, white, gold and glitter!

Don’t forget the extras! Whether it’s noisemakers, poppers or beads, don’t forget the little extra touches that make New Year’s Eve truly special! These accessories are classic must-haves, but for something more current, display themed photo booth props that the social media savvy will surely appreciate!
